Our in-house technology skill development division – embLAB - is the competency augmentation engine catering to our need of hi quality Engineers by keeping abreast with cutting-edge technologies in the embedded and real-time systems.

Through this training administered at Bangalore - GlobalEdge headquarters, Engineers not only receive world-class instruction, but also interact directly with the developers of our leading edge technologies.

The courses administered are designed by distinguished embedded industry experts and have the right blend theoretical and practical knowledge imparting. All courses provide hands-on experience so that our Engineers can practice what they learn.

The training we offer is to enable competency development for our own in house- customer project needs and are not offered as paid courses to the general public.

The purpose of the training is to laden the fresh engineering graduates, who join our Company as Development Engineers to gain a solid understanding of the embedded space and become well chiseled profiles that can deliver high quality when being as part of  our development projects.

To ensure this, the rigor that we adopt in both the selection process and in the training administration is very stringent. The training is for duration of 4 months and the Engineers Trainees after successful completion of the course are led into our mainstream human resource pool to work in the various development projects.

The embLAB association and certification is a coveted honor to achieve for majority of the fresh engineering graduates community in Karnataka, every year. Entrance tests for joining the embLAB and becoming a part of the GlobalEdge’s resource pool are held at least 4 times a year.

The ability to attract and retain talent is going to be the key success factor for us to scale the heights we aspire to. We are happy to say that the rigorous training we provide at embLAB, only on the sole criteria of the Engineer’s academic merits, have given us an edge in this area too.

A case in point is the referral based walk-in interviews for admission into embLAB that is organized at GlobalEdge at least once in every quarter. No ads are released; information about the walk-in interviews to embLAB is passed out purely by word-of-mouth. We have been experiencing a consistent increase in the number of people that walk-in every time. The walk-in interviews are for people with experience of up to 1 year.

In the recent years, we are experiencing that the turnout always exceeds our expectations. In the last instance while we were looking at around 2000, we had 3000 turning up. In the recent Quarters, Police and private security are proactively called in to manage the crowd.. The last instance, we evaluated about 102 people and selected 10 from them.

No other Technology Services company has such a response as we do. This is a sound testimony for the premium image we enjoy with the young engineering graduates community in South India and especially so in Karnataka – the Indian State with Bangalore as its capital.
