GlobalEdge’s Video Surveillance Software solution is comprised of embedded Linux camera software and surveillance server software. The Linux optimized camera software can be integrated with the various chipsets enabling rapid development of video surveillance solutions.

The solution has been designed to support easy integration with Codecs supplied by either chipset manufacturer, 3rd Party vendors or with those developed by GlobalEdge.  Wherever available, hardware acceleration or DSP optimized libraries are used, in order to get the maximum performance with the lowest power consumption. The modules that are likely candidates for acceleration are the Audio / Video Codecs and the Security libraries.

The solution supports audio / video delivery in multiple protocols and formats.
